What can you bring to our big day?

As a DJ, it might sound odd to say — but music is probably the smallest part of what I offer in my all day wedding DJ service. Looking back over the past couple of years alone, I’ve been a drone pilot, the cake supplier’s childminder, an emotional father-calmer, a photographer’s assistant, and even an Uber driver (picking up some Piriton for the bride), to name just a few.

In a nutshell — I’ll do everything in my power to ensure you and your guests have the best day possible, no matter what the task involves.

Will we have music throughout the day?

Absolutely — music will be heard throughout the day, whether power is available or not. I can connect to the venue’s outdoor sound system via cables or Bluetooth, or provide a battery-powered PA system if needed — perfect for drinks receptions in vineyard or forest settings.

All Day Wedding DJ Hire

This will give you an idea of what a fairly typical day looks like from my perspective as an all day wedding DJ.

Please note: I’m always happy to include any of your own ideas and work out how we can make them happen logistically to get the best response from your guests (like a table-to-table photo dash, for example).

I don’t include wedding games, interviews, or anything I’d consider ‘forced fun’ as a standard part of my service, as I believe these are very personal choices that should reflect how you want your day to flow. That said, I’m more than happy to cater to any specific requests or requirements you may have.

Drinks Reception & Background Music

I’ll be set up in all the locations we’ve previously discussed and ready before your guests arrive. This may include setting up the main rig in the party area, as well as ensuring the ceremony sound system is good to go. Easy-listening background music will be playing as your guests arrive, creating the perfect atmosphere.

Ceremony

Around 10–15 minutes before the ceremony, I’ll personally invite guests to take their seats. (It’s up to you whether you’d like music playing as they enter.) Once everyone’s seated, I’ll be with you until it’s time to begin — your aisle track will start and fade perfectly as you reach the front.

During the signing of the register, I’ll play the two songs you’ve chosen. Then, I’ll cue your upbeat exit track at just the right moment to capture the cheers and energy as you both walk back down the aisle.

Drinks Reception & Background Music

After the ceremony, I’ll liaise with the venue and photographer for a smooth confetti throw. While you’re enjoying your first drink as newlyweds, I’ll be guiding guests into position and setting the tone for the next part of the day.

This is the perfect time for relaxed background music — or if that’s not your vibe, maybe a chilled Ibiza-style set. Whether you want something classic or contemporary, I’ll create a soundtrack that suits your style.

Photo Coordination & Hosting Support

Depending on your photography schedule, this part of the day can take a while — and that’s where I can help. I’ll work closely with your photographer and videographer to keep things moving, whether that means announcing the next group or collecting guests from a separate area.

It’s all about saving time and giving you more of it to enjoy your day. Another benefit to having an all day wedding DJ.

Wedding Breakfast DJ & Grand Entrance

Around 10–15 minutes before the meal, I’ll ask your guests to find their seats and highlight the table plan. Once you’re ready, I’ll work with the photo and video team to make sure they’re in position — then hype up the room before your grand entrance.

With your chosen high-impact track ready to go and the wedding lighting set, I’ll invite you in with the right energy to kickstart the evening atmosphere. Once you’re seated, I’ll play a background playlist in your preferred style while you enjoy your meal.

Easy Listening Mix Discs

Here are a couple of examples of popular music styles that work perfectly for easy listening during the wedding breakfast. If you’ve created or found a playlist you’d prefer me to use, that’s no problem at all.

Speeches & MC Duties

Whether your speeches take place before or after the meal, I’ll be ready to manage the moment. I’ll announce when speeches are about to begin and introduce each speaker individually, using a professional microphone and PA system.

My job is to make sure your guests know what’s happening, keep the energy up, and give each speaker the spotlight they deserve.

Room Turnaround

Once the wedding breakfast and speeches are complete, the venue will likely need to carry out some preparation before your evening guests arrive — usually collapsing a few tables to make space for dancing, if everything is taking place in the same room.

Cake Cutting & First Dance

After your evening guests arrive, it’s time to cut the cake. I’ll guide you to the right spot and invite your guests to gather round (while keeping space clear for the cameras). Whether you want a countdown or a candid moment, I’ll coordinate with your photographer and videographer to get the best shots.

Then it’s straight into the first dance. I’ll invite your guests to the dancefloor, cue your track, and manage the moment with zero awkwardness — you’ll never be left standing alone. Let me know when you want others to join you, and I’ll take care of the timing.

Special Dances & Family Moments

Whether it’s a traditional father–daughter dance or a special moment with your children, I’ll help you plan and time it perfectly. It’s another chance to share the spotlight with someone meaningful before we launch into the party.

Evening Wedding DJ – Where the Party Starts

Here’s where we go from 0 to 100! I don’t believe in a slow build — I’ll kick off the night with an energy-filled DJ set that gets the dancefloor jumping while your photo and video team are still capturing the magic.

From there, I’ll mix live between your favourite genres and handle any guest requests you’re happy to allow. You’ll also have the chance to choose your final song — plus one last banger when your guests inevitably chant for more. It’s all about ending the night on a high.
